Description: Kai’Ruta’Nara is a long forgotten planet near The Maw and Kessel, once known in ancient hyperspace trade routes but now lost to all but a few Hutts, smugglers, and explorers. It is a smuggler’s paradise a lawless ocean world where only the equatorial islands are safe. The rest of the planet is plagued by perpetual tornado storms.

Beyond its dangerous weather, Kai’Ruta’Nara holds a hidden past evidence of an ancient, now extinct sentient race that once inhabited the cave systems of the storm ravaged regions. Their burial sites hold mummies of unknown origin, suggesting ties to a forgotten civilization based on xeno science. Following the Expansionist Period, the planet was overrun by refugees and eventually enslaved by the Hutts, who still maintain secret dealings here.

        • Terrain: Equatorial Islands arid yet habitable, trade winds moderate the climate. Outer islands constantly batter by tornadoes lifeless and uninhabitable. Volcanic Ridges active islands producing lava flows. Cave networks, evidence of a lost civilization, mummified remains found. The Island of Dogs a legendary and main island with monk seals and sea dogs in its treacherous waters.

          Puerto de Solis: largest coastal smuggler city built into cliffs, a haven for traders, bounty hunters, and unlucky runaways to find their way there.
          The Maw’s Teeth: A series of deadly reefs where starship wrecks and old smugglers caches remain hidden.
          Burial Caves of the Forgotten: Ancient tombs containing mummies of unknown species.
          Storm Chaser’s Ridge: A dangerous racing track where pod racers and speeder dare to outrun the planets deadly weathers.
          Slave Ruins: Abandoned Hutt compounds, remnants of the planets time under Hutt control.
          Island of the Dogs: A sacred island home to monk seals, sea dogs and more mysterious sea predators. Legends speak of lost temples hidden in its cliffs the highest cliffs of the equator.
          Ashen Isle: A volcanic island next to the Island of Dogs still erupts periodically, its blackened surface covered in flowing lava and obsidian spires. Some exiles still live here, crafting weapons from volcanic glass.
          Master Brendan’s Island: A legendary island said to appear and vanish within the mist. Fishermen claim to see it on the horizon, but no one has mapped its location.
          Ancient Republic starship logs contain unverified readings of the island, appearing briefly before vanishing.
          The first validated sighting was by Jedi Master Brendan, who recorded his visit in his journal.
          Sent on a mission to mediate between Republic settlers and the Hutts, Master Brendan and his Padawan reported landing on the island and meditating for 15 days.
          When they reemerged, the settlers claimed they had been missing for a full year, during which the island remained shrouded in mist.
          Master Brendan described the island as a "paradise of the Force" a mountainous land of eternal daylight, where the sun never set, fruit trees flourished, and rivers ran pure.
          Some scholars believe it may be a Force Nexus, possibly shifting between realspace and the Cosmic Force, while others dismiss it as a myth.

Strengths
1.Smugglers heaven, its location near Kessel and hidden behind the Maw makes it perfect hidden hub for illegal trading even under that of the Hutt’s and Pyke’s jurisdiction.

2.Ancient Secrets beneath, the forgotten civilizations remains, and the mythical Master Brendans Island hold mysteries and possibly Force knowledge, for adventurers and xenologists alike.

3.Forgotten world its hyperspace routes lost in time in a galaxy so wide just a few know the way to it.

Weaknesses
1. Weather outside the equator is unstable, tornadoes make must of the planet uninhabitable

2 Hutt Criminal influence, although mostly forgotten, the Hutts still hold interests, making life dangerous for independent travelers/settlers

3.Forgotten world hence it never needed orbital defenses, if the planet was to be discovered and sieged it would have low chances of surviving such an assault.

Historical Information
The Age Before the Expansionist Period

  • Kai’Ruta’Nara was once home to a sentient cave dwelling species.
  • They adapted to the planet’s deadly storms by living in deep caves, building their entire civilization underground.
  • Their burial traditions involved complex tombs and mummification, leaving behind mysteries that have yet to be uncovered.


The Expansionist Period

  • Republic explorers, settled in the equatorial regions.
  • Their presence led to conflict with the native species, who were already in decline.
  • Eventually, the native race disappeared, possibly wiped out or absorbed into the new arrivals.
  • The settlers built the first cities, unaware they were living atop the tombs of an extinct race.
The Hutt Enslavement Era

  • The planet was soon discovered by Hutt cartels, who saw the inhabitants as easy labor.
  • The Hutts enslaved much of the population, forcing them to work in spice smuggling and shipbreaking operations.
  • Hutt rule lasted for centuries before the cartels lost interest, abandoning much of the infrastructure.
Modern Era

  • Now a forgotten world, Kai’Ruta’Nara is a haven for smugglers, slavers, pirates, and exiles.
  • Ancient tombs remain undiscovered, their secrets waiting to be unearthed.
  • Some Hutts still control parts of the underworld here, ensuring the planet remains off the Republic’s maps or rival Hutt Clans.

I would like to express I have strong feelings of indistinguishable orientation regarding the fact your main text is on the attributes, and the Historical Info is bulletpoints, which effectivelly does bad things to my OCDs. But I cannot say anything about it, so i will just suffer in silence.

Regarding the planet itself, it is mentioned that in Strengths "its forgotten and hardly anyone knows how to get there"
then, across the sub, there are mentions about a hutt invasion in all but name in the place, resulting in slave labour. How did the planet's civilization change when that happened? If the original civ was lost..... who did the hutts find there? How can it remain a secret, if the hutts have been there for so long, and so established?

If the original civ was lost..... who did the hutts find there? How can it remain a secret, if the hutts have been there for so long, and so established?
So I understand the confusion with the lack of dates! but the colonization was during the Expansionist Era of the Republic!! I added a link for clarity

Also im not sure how the map correlates exactly due to the sites overlay i added the original map where i want the planet and question marks in the sites maps since i cant be certain where the position im looking for is!
