Officer Viola
Admiral Viola
Admiral Viola stood on the deck of the G.R.E.S. Victoria, looking out the view ports of the command deck, her arms behind her back. She wanted to say a lot of things to high command with a good deal of them more likely to get her dismissed for unruly or traitorous actions. Allying one’s self with a Sith was just an all around bad idea. Sith weren’t the most loyal of subjects and were more self centered of creatures in the galaxy. She had been informed of such a possibility by high command. A meeting had been scheduled to inform her of there final decision.
Officially it was to get her input on the matter but she knew the choice had already been made. She watched the engineers outside the command hatch painting on the fire star of the Starborn Corporation. Her entire deck command staff were busy running diagnostics as the rest of her crew were running military drills. Emergency gunnery drills and emergency fighter and bomber repair drills. The meeting was just a formality.
“Ma’am. It is almost time.” Captain Magnus Miorte spoke with his usual formal salute. She simply nodded and walked toward the rear end of the bridge. She stepped up to the circular communications array and closed the door behind her. She gripped her hands together with a bit of annoyance.
The communication array lit up and began projecting the holograms into the room. Admiral Adur, Military High Command Officer Hatcher, and Starborn Corporation Advisor Atur. She thought the advisor was very ugly. She eyed the formal military uniforms of the advisors.
“We have decided that it will be wise for us to send you to enter negotiations with this Sith called Sylvia. You are to enter negotiations with this individual. Inform her that you are nothing more then a merchant fleet normally used for the guarding of company assets.” Military High Command Officer Hatcher spoke, his voice coming clearly through the dark green hologram of him.
“We are providing you with some refreshments to make arrangements go smoother. I have informed them of a specific designation and have sent the coordinates to you using the same channel she originally contacted us with.” Atur stated as his hologram glowed a dark blue.
“If I may ask why are you sending me? There are more intelligent commanders than me.” Viola inquired of them. Hatcher and Atur raised eyebrows.
“The Sith are still believed to be petty and self centered individuals more focused on personal gain. We believe that Sylvia will cooperate more with a woman just as strong and independent as her. I personally suggested you for your more…charismatic personality.” Adur states bluntly.
“Great. Do we know her fleet composition? How many carriers, destroyers, or cruisers does she have in her fleet?” She asked.
“Negative. We believe she only has three. Cruisers we believe. She will be a good pawn to obtain our own objectives with permits you believe she will cooperate with us.” Adur bluntly spoke again. She simply nodded.
“We have selected a chunk of space for you two to meet and have sent this Sylvia individual the coordinates. We trust that you will handle this with the delicacy that Adur spoke of.” Atur commented. She laughed mentally to herself.
“That shall be all for now. I do expect you to file expense reports to the Starborn office of finances.” Adur spoke. She understood the order and saluted. The call ended and she emerged from the communications room furrowing her eyebrow. Deck guards saluted as she approached the front of the G.R.E.S. Victoria, removing the red pen from her pocket and running her finger along the cap.
“Officer Magnus. Have us prepare to disembark as soon as those painters are done. We have a guest to meet.” She spoke as she rolled the red pen between her fingers. Magnus saluted and she left the bridge, leaving him in charge. She made her way into the bridge elevator and took it down to her desired floor, and towards the elevator. The crew saluted her as they passed, there armor color a primary dark blue with gold striped trim. They even had the star logo of Starborn Industries.
She rubbed her pen more as she silently approved of how fast they worked. Her crew were already decked out with the new, mass produced armor made to sell the idea of a corporate owned fleet. She entered the balcony that overlooked hanger bay and every fighter and bomber with the logo painted on the side. Templates were used to make things faster she surmised.
She smiled as the floors and walls were polished to the dot and every surface cleaned. Even the Imperator class interceptors docked in the racks had been cleaned. The two red stripes that ran down the center of the Interceptors and Bombers had been left a dark crimson red much to her joy.
She sighed as she made her way back up to the bridge slowly, passing by Magnus as he made his way to the hangar. He was there to oversee the peaceful arrival of the guest and to give her an easy way of keeping the cards in her hand. She had personally made sure that the conference room was neat and tidy. Magnus had gone through it and made it feel more comfy.
She stepped back onto the bridge and went towards the front of the bridge. The one window turned to a screen with Vice Admiral Perry on the G.R.E.S. Perceus, the carrier behind her, displayed.
“I’ll meet our guests first. Just me and two destroyers. If this is a trap or we need to make a statement we will send you a call.” She states calmly. Perceus nodded, saluted, and ended the call. The two destroyers were informed and entered hyperspace first, her ship following after them. Her ship exited hyperspace alongside the two destroyers and played the waiting game.
