Type: Ranged Weapon

Consolidation Thread: NEED 15 + CONSO THREAD
Description: The DLA-6 Blaster Rifle is a rather contained version of its predecessor, DLA-13. Its overall shape is sharp, with several corners and the renown "exposed trigger" design granting it the characteristic Imperial style. Its stock is made retractable, with the butt specifically shaped to lock against the Imperial Guard Armour, when aiming, to provide additional stability. There are two red lights on the main body of the rifle. The top one indicates the readiness of the weapon to fire, with stable red being "On Safe" and no light meaning the weapon is armed and ready to fire. The bottom one, when the powercell is depleted, produces a beeping light to notify the weapon is "At its final dozen" as the Imperials referred to it, meaning there are up to twelve more shots to be fired, before the powercell is completely dried.

Historical Information
After the launching of the characteristic DLA-13 rifle by the Reconstituted Sith Empire, several Imperial-aligned firms attempted to develop new, more modernized versions of the rifle. The Aphotic Industries Inc, after experimenting with units of the Imperial Army stationed on Halcyon, produced the DLA-6. That was a rifle designed to allow for better accuracy, and faster reloading speed by the troops. The initial designs of the DLA-6, nicknamed "Dillax" by the troops, were a moderate success, with the specialized design making the weapon a favoured piece of gear by the local troops. Its design was smaller, while the payload was heavier in comparison to the standard-issue DLA-13, while Dillax's design made aiming much more accurate, due to its stock concept.
For several years, the Aphotic Industries Inc produced very limited supply of these weapons, as the commanders of the Imperial Army showed little interest to it, being more expensive than the standard-issue. As the Third Galactic War spread across the Stars, the Aphotic Industries Inc finally started producing these weapons en masse, as the needs of the Empire sky rocketed.
