Name: Kathallan Tracked Tank Vehicle Mark I "Nexu" (KTTVMk1, Nexu)
Credits:
Consolidation Thread: NA
Description: After 25 years in trench deadlock during the Kathallan Civil War, the industries of City State Kardia developped cheaper, non-conventional tank vehicles that specialized in piercing through trenchlines. Painted with the iconic Kathallan Grey shade, the KTTVs are the fast-moving light armoured glass cannons of Kathalla.

Historical Information
The KTTVMk1 was the first magnetic-powered tank developped by the Industries of Kardia to overcome the resource crisis due to the prolonged trench warfare that spiked the inflation of the planet. The "Nexu" was a revolutionary vehicle, capable of engaging targets from significant range while also spearheading lightning offensives against enemy trenchlines.
Contrary to the hover-powered vehicles of the period, the KTTVMk1 was a designed meant for ground warfare and cheap production, employing a Twin Magnetic Rotor Engine, generating electric power through antiquate means, heavily based on magnetic fields artificially created through use of two opposite rotating disks, power themselves by magnetic crowns.
Although unstable, the Twin Rotor Engine (TRE) proved to be a revolutionary change in the battlefield, allowing Kardia to mass produce tank vehicles with little cost and in extremely limited time, feeding the lines with expendable vehicles.
The KTTVMk1 vehicles were initially deployed in squadrons of six, meant to serve as infantry support in limited offensive actions, instead of deploying automated mobile artillery, or hover tanks. Proving themselves as a combat-capable tank-hunter, for its ability to hide or even half-submerge beneath canopy or trenchlines, or even cammuflage itself inside ruins, the Nexu gradually gained the role of tank-hunters.
After a period of successful operations, the "Nexu" was a big part of the "Tremul Offensive" (named after the renown Kardian General Gaviril Tremul) and among the reasons why for several local time rotations the Kardian army managed to break the deadlock. Unfortunatelly, the apparent weakness of the vehicle against the EMPs was proven to be a major mechanical flow that eventually was discovered by the enemy. Although rare, given little to no droids were employed in the Kathallan Civil War, EMP weaponry was used against vehicles or war machines. After isolated incidents, Nexu vehicles were captured by the Parliamentarian forces, marking the beginning of thorough testing and experimentation, eventually uncovering the severe weakness of the Nexu, to EMP weaponry targeting its rear, that seemingly completely neutralized its engines.
With the war of movement continuing, and the enemy industries eventually launching their own counter-Nexu vehicles, the tank warfare was brought to a stale in and of itself, with tanks fighting in covert operations in the dense forest outside Zaruuz. With little armour, the Nexu tanks found themselves on the losing side of most confrontations, eventually being replaced by later developped models.
After the Imperial Invasion of Kathalla, and the gradual intergration of the Kardian industries by the Aphotic Industries Inc, the KTTVMk1 tank vehicles were put out of production, with the excess supply from the time of the war remaining in military warehouses, either assigned to homefront bases or shipped off-world to lesser frontiers the Kathallan Regiments were dispatched to.
