Ship Name: Darrian Transport Ship.
Credits: https://shipsmonthly.com/news/the-worlds-largest-newly-built-wooden-cargo-ship/
Type: Seaship.
Purpose: A cargo ship.
Consolidation Thread: NA.
Architect: Confederate Unassociated Manufacturing Plants.
Description: This is a steam and sail powered ship with a ton of room to store soldiers and land ships. Its design is made so it can perform beach landings while staying fast, sleek vehicles. The four swivel guns are kept near the back of the ship with two on either side of the wheel of the boat. The ramp itself is set up right in front of the rooms where the land ships are stored with a wood barrier between it and the ramp. The wood barrier is sealed with tar. The ramp itself is powered by the steam engine and is activated by two levers being pulled backwards from inside the ship. The ramp applies pressure to the inside wood barrier, breaking the tar, sending forward the wood section. The tar of the front, angled part of the ship is then broken and falls down with the top of the ship being heavy.
ATTRIBUTES
Strengths:
1. Very fast speed. Can easily evade enemy vessels.
2. Fast deployment of land ships/infantry.
Weaknesses:
1. Weak to any enemy cannons.
2. Weak to being rammed.
Historical Information:
This ship was designed during Carter, an engineer, trying not to get fired from his job. He had spilled coffee on a spot of his blue print and claimed it was only a slight mistake as the ship was designed to deliver soldiers on beaches without taking in water during regular travel. After two weeks of stalling he eventually delivered a completed blueprint. His rival engineer wanted to disprove that such a mechanism as was featured on the blueprint would work and had a prototype constructed. The steam powered mechanism that delivered pressure to the ramp at the front of the boat where the ram that was sealed with tar actually worked and the land ships disembarked with minor trouble. After some revisions the original designer of the contraption was promoted. The ship itself hasn’t seen any combat and only combat testing.
