Historical Information
The C.E.S. Moon Queen was specially made by Queen Catalina after a group of pirates bragged about having a two ships with ten 100 pounder cannons. This ships and the three other ships Sun Queen, Moon Queen, and Diplomat were made to fight the nonexistent ships. This ship was finished shortly after the C.E.S. Sun Queen. After production this ship was used to transport Queen’s and other nobles over the country. The original metal coating oxidized and has a blood red color mixed with a silver color. The color scheme is kept in the modern metal alloys used to maintain the ship. The ship itself now only carries enough ammunition for a second shot after the preloaded cannons are fired. The extra space has been modified to allow passengers space to sleep.
The creation of the “Powder shot” and celebration of graduating classes of military academies was created by Captain Latzer. Captain Latzer and Engineer Cover, without authorization, made twenty 100 pound shells with a cannonball made of colored sand. To celebrate his four sons graduating from the military graduation the crew of the ship were informed with the goal. The handmade sand shells were loaded into the cannons and the ship was taken towards Lietz Military Academy where the graduates faced the sea. The cannons were aimed as high as possible and kept out at sea before firing the full barrage sending a large cloud of colorful sand up into the air just over the sea. Queen Catalina pardoned him.
