Faction Name:

The Malsonike Clans

Leader/Leadership Council:

  • Leader: @Kusla Malsonike
  • Leadership Council:
    • Jahelli the Noble Dugar
    • Berecca the Zeltron-Like
    • Lok the Sweet Avon
    • Nifn the Phlegmatic Son
    • Refya the Holy Borra

Alignment/Ideology:

An inclusive yet fiercely independent Mandalorian clan, led by six siblings who reject the perceived weaknesses of the greater Mandalorian factions. Over time, they have distanced themselves from other clans, seeing them as stagnant or compromised.

Despite their Mandalorian heritage, the Malsonike Clans have formed unlikely alliances most notably with the Hutt Cartels establishing a reputation as a powerful yet unpredictable force in the galaxy.

Purpose/Objectives:

  • "Always, until our last breath." A vow the six siblings uphold, bound by blood and loyalty.
  • Strength is survival; to win is to exist.
  • No sacrifice is too great except when it comes to family.
  • The weak are ruled by the strong.
  • A broken promise is treachery against oneself.
  • To rebuild their scattered clans and ensure they are never forced into hiding or extinction again.

Membership:

All Mandalorians and warriors who can prove their worth are welcome, regardless of background or origin.

Territory/Base of Operations:

Primarily fleet-based and nomadic, but with a stronghold on N’orlannia, a world rich in resources and history.

Allies:

Enemies:

  • Mal the First Malsonike
  • Resthe the Modor
  • Ahliad the Raven
  • Garerd Mercla

Strengths:

-Highly trained Mandalorian warriors, raised in the ancient ways of combat and survival.
-Specialized training in fighting Force users.
-Combat experience from childhood, fostering elite soldiers.
-Force-sensitive Anzat warriors (scarce but highly formidable).
-Adaptability due to nomadic survival training.
-Basilisk war droids used as aerial mounts and heavy assault units.

Weaknesses:

-Infighting among the Clan Leaders during times of relative peace.
-"The means justify the end" mentality leading to high casualties if necessary.
-Stubborn to a fault refusing to surrender, even in dire circumstances.
-Exiled by mainstream Mandalorian factions.
-Actively hunted by their enemies, especially Mal the First.

Goals/Objectives:

  • Reclaim N’orlannia as their rightful home.
  • Utilize the planet’s vast Beskar and mineral reserves to rebuild their strength.
  • Establish a foothold in Hutt space as a staging ground for future expansion.
  • Eventually launch a campaign to conquer Mandalore and claim leadership.
  • Eliminate Mal the First and Ahliad the Raven, removing the greatest threats to their bloodline.

History/Origins:

  • The Malsonike Clans trace their lineage to Mal the First, an Anzat warrior who embraced the Mandalorian way.
  • Seeking an heir, Mal’s wife made a dark pact with Ahliad the Raven, a powerful sorceress. In exchange for the ability to bear children, their firstborn descendants were bound to her as a tribute.
  • As a result, the children were gifted with the Force but cursed with the Anzati bloodlust for soup, the essence of living beings.
  • Mal, realizing the horror he had unleashed, sought to end the cycle but he failed. Again and again, his attempts to kill his own offspring were met with failure.
  • The children, rather than being destroyed, banded together, founding the Malsonike Clans.
  • Forever on the move, hunted by Mal, they remained unaware of Ahliad’s dark influence looming over them.

Culture and Society:

  • A tight-knit, blood-bound warrior society, valuing loyalty above all.
  • Nomadic hunters, always on the move, never allowing themselves to be tied down for too long.
  • Individual strength is respected, but never outweighs the importance of camaraderie.
  • All clans fall under the Clan's Council, which in turn answers to Kusla.
  • They uphold ancient Mandalorian customs and worship the old gods of Mandalore.

Technology & Magic:

  • Beskar- orged weaponry and armor, crafted by their own skilled smiths.
  • Force Discern, an ability honed by a member of the clans.
  • Select Force sensitive Mandalorians trained exclusively for combat, rather than traditional Jedi or Sith philosophies.

Military/Combat Forces:

  • Guerrilla warfare specialists masters of ambush tactics and sabotage.
  • Elite assassins and hunters, specializing in tracking high-value targets.
  • Hit-and-run naval tactics, utilizing speed and unpredictability over brute force.
  • Basilisk war droids provide aerial support and heavy ground assault.
  • Jetpack maneuver warfare, using verticality and terrain advantage in battle.
  • Standard Mandalorian military arsenal, but modified to fit their unique fighting style.
  • A formidable fleet, consisting of cruisers, destroyers, and smaller attack vessels.

Relations with Other Factions:

  • Allies:
    • Hutt Cartels (mutually beneficial partnership, but not without tension).
    • Vapeet Holdings (corporate allies providing weapons and resources).
    • Witches of N’orlannia (a secretive group with knowledge of lost magic).
  • Neutral Stance:
    • The Republic and the Empire avoiding unnecessary conflict with either side for now.

Economy & Resources:

  • Self-sustaining economy, heavily reliant on Beskar mining and smithing.
  • Many clan members undertake bounty hunting missions, funneling their earnings back to the clan.

Current Status:

  • Disorganized and fractured, with various factions searching for Kusla to reunite under his leadership.
  • Nomadic, with no official homeworld or stronghold.
  • Currently operating within Hutt Space for safety and resources.
  • A conflict is brewing on N’orlannia, as the clans seek to reclaim their ancestral home.

Role in the Universe/Setting:

  • To most Mandalorians, the Malsonike Clans are myth—whispers of lost warriors cursed by their own blood.
  • Among the Hutt Cartels, they are respected and feared, valued as deadly allies with a reputation for brutal efficiency.
  • The galaxy may not know them now, but in time, the Malsonike Clans will make their mark—and their enemies will learn to fear their name.
