RACE TEMPLATE
Name: Razborka Drones
Type: Species
Art: (Alibaba AI)
Description: Typically standing at just over or under 195cm tall, Razborka drones have an exterior of white, polished steel, with hazard signs on their wrists and legs. They come with sleek frames, expressive yellow eyes protected by a thick glass visor, four fingered hands, 8-9 meter segmented razor wings, a fully movable cable tail with a nanite acid tank attached to a syringe, and a soft polymer skin around their vitals. Inside, they are comprised entirely of living liquid metal, that allows them to swiftly regenerate when damaged, or exchange their hands for weapons or tools. Oil flows through the entirety of, while their nanites are produced by their core and transferred directly to their tail.
Their core meanwhile, a construct of biological tissue and mechanical elements, represents their primary being, acting as where their memories, personality, and all vitals are stored, protected by a steel ribcage. If the body becomes too damaged, the core can eject and later reclaim its body. If it is destroyed, however, the body becomes inert, losing all aspects of self and continuity.
While bearing resemblance to worker drones, they share little in common with them in terms of biology and mechanics. Their hair, while synthetic, grows naturally, and is entirely determined by the biology of their parents, often used to identify which family a drone hails from. Otherwise, males typically have short hair, with some even having synthetic facial hair, though this is usually restricted to Mikhailovs or Yaroslavov pilots. Their bodies have minimal curves, save for the pelvis. Females on the other hand are notable for having wider hips and a more pronounced chest, while also generally sporting longer hair, and thinner legs.
ATTRIBUTES: Violent, noble, hierarchical, militaristic, warrior-caste, born hunters
Place of Origins: Kopperia
Culture: Highly militaristic, violent, deeply familial, large emphasis on heritage and martial prowess
Traditions: Each of the four primary families have their own, but typically all revolve around the Kopperian military, Aristocratic tradition, and a noble image each new generation seeks to abide by.
Alexandrovs see themselves as the model all others should abide by. Known for being precise, intelligent, perceptive to the point of paranoia, and obsessive about their role in the ISB. They also tend to be both highly authoritarian to those under them, but submissive to those above.
Yaroslavov's are highly performative, cultured, well-mannered, but also prideful, ambitious, and very focused on logistics. It is they who dominate the fleet.
Zavidovs are quiet, deeply religious, and very communal by the standards of the others. Despite this, they are highly efficient at what they do, and are known for their diligence when commanded.
Mikhailovs are known for their wild, independent spirit and strange customs by the logic of the others. They tend to be the most aggressive, yet surprisingly the most melancholic. For them, despite being machines in most aspects, their best friends are their horses, and their favorite home is the saddle.
Diet: Cold natural oil, meat, scrap metal
Strengths
Regeneration, inbuilt weapons, nanite acid (which they have an immunity to thanks to their unique saliva that even they don't fully understand) flight, incredible agility, speed, and strength, independent cores that can eject if needed
Weaknesses
Low birth rate, requires 20 years to reach adulthood, core destruction = permanent death of self, requires vast quantities of oil to avoid overheating, cannot survive in direct sunlight unless under atmospheric conditions or in space, reproduce slowly and sexually (requires male and female Razborka drone) requires scrap metal to be consumed and converted into stored regenerative material
Historical Information
They were created by *REDACTED* for the purpose of *REDACTED* and were used to destroy *REDACTED*
Following this, they spread out in search of prey under the orders of *REDACTED* with the majority dying in the process, either of oil starvation or direct combat. By the time other humans arrived and discovered them and the workers of Kopperia, they were almost extinct, having served their purpose. But with their creator dead, and no direction, a lone Razborka drone, Jay, found herself working with these humans, who were unlike those she'd known, killed, and hunted in the past. Together, they rebuilt others, with the humans constructing artificial cores for them.
Most hardly remembered anything, their cores having been forcibly removed upon death. But the humans and Jay helped train them in their art of war. Eventually, conflict erupted between them and the Worker drones, with the humans and Razborka drones coming out victorious, and removing the parasite which caused all this grief. Following this, the two distinct groups of drones reconciled, with Governor Doll (a worker drone also rebuilt by the humans) becoming the first leader of the now united Kopperia.
The humans taught them to rebuild, to care for, maintain, industralize, and defend their once inert world. But, after a few centuries of living in coexistence, the humans left them to choose their own destiny. Since then, the Kopperians never looked back, their eyes drawn to the stars, the tools, ideas, structures, and culture of the humans who raised them from the ashes in their hands to keep and use.
