Marthaler Amslerbeak
Lord Chalybatte of Wesalla

The letter was delivered folded, into a wax-sealed envelope of parchment, carrying the mark of Krahen, one of the most powerful of the Iron Cult's guilds. By breaking the seal, the contents carried words written in caligraphic fashion and black ink that still carried the scent of burned oil. The signature, complex and unique, belonging to Marthaler Amslerbeak, Lord-Chalybatte of Wesalla, and member of the Iron Council.
It is my hope that this letter finds its recipient in good health of mind and body, and the domains intended of prosperous harvest and scarce enemies.
Although it has been an endeavour I would like to have commited to on much different times, and much different way, necessity had forced my hand into
writing this letter to you. My intentions remain in good faith, and hope that the Confederate shall remain strong and independent as it always was.
The Iron Cult, and myself, pray for the blessing of the one, true, God-Machine to be upon you and yours, in these times of great strife across Erova.
I took the liberty of writing this letter in hopes of our two great nations find a common path leading to prosperity and friendship alike. It is to my
great sorrow, such paths are usually paved by metal and black powder, and this time, feels to my distaste to be no different.
It has come to the attention of the Iron Council that the newly self-crowned King of Espada, Marcus Aumont, has declared himself a manifestation
of the God-Machine, laying claim to minds and banners alike across Erova. It has also come to our attention of vile rituals and cursed magicks being
the source of the blasphemous king's successes in the past years.
Although it may feel foreign, now, I cannot but express my concerns about the situation, and the danger such expansionist war-liking heretics pose to
all the civilized world. With this said, I wish to invite you in entertaining the prospect of an alliance between the Confederate and the Iron Cult, with
aim of monitoring Espadan influence and ensuring a future without magicks, demons, or sorcery for the peoples of our nations.
I shall expect your reply with anticipation, and hopes that the threat of Espada has not gone unnoticed by the Confederate. The Iron Cult, a loyal friend and
ally of the Confederate, should you choose to accept it, shall be by your side whenever and wherever your great nation is threatened by such blasphemous
villains, expecting only for the Confederate to do the same, should the need arises to face one such existential threat.
In hope and in respect,
Marthaler Amslerbeak, Lord-Chalybatte of Wesalla
