Biography: Dido’s father was Sir William Drake. Yes that Sir William Drake. The ones all the penny novels are written about. The one who has created oh so many Guild to fame and glory. Truth is Dido only cared about one. The Brethren Court. It was clear from a young age that that was the path for her. William liked for his family to be carry on his traditions with the guilds, so if that was the path she wanted for herself, who was he to stop her. So when she was eight years old he set her on a ship as a powder monkey. Telling her the only way to learn to be a pirate queen was to learn a ship top to bottom.
Dido never looked back. Dido earned her way up through the ships ranks from powder monkey, to gun crew, to gunners, to boarder, to bosun, to quartermaster, to captain. Dido even managed to upgrade her ship to that of an airship, as she did with several others in the fleet of the Brethren Court. She returned home a prized Pirate Queen to the jealousy of her sisters. Upon her successful return she learned the truth of their family history that her father was really an agent of the Night Court and that she too must now swear an oath of loyalty to the Night King bound in blood ceremony. Her final test. She passed with flying colours.
