Architect: Damian M. LeBlanc, King of Demonkin
Description: Situated on the coast of the Dragon Sea, Darkholme is a settlement that towers over the surrounding forest. It is the seat of power for the Demon faction and reflects that earnestly. The city itself is surrounded by thick concrete walls, starting and stopping at the water’s edge. Gates are situated to the west, north, and east. Demonkin architecture is sparse and totalitarian in appearance, favoring utility over aesthetic. At the heart of Darkholme lay the stronghold of the King, a looming castle that is protected by a mystical barrier. It appears like a dome over the castle, made up of a translucent glacial blue energy. Outside of the settlement lay a large winter forest, snow covering most of the land year round. It melts in the summer, creating a vast wetland for invaders to deal with.

These defenses could include enchantments that render the city nearly impervious to physical attacks, invasions, or even magical intrusion, ensuring its security and stability.

This can lead to advanced spellcasting, powerful rituals, and unique magical innovations that significantly enhance the city’s infrastructure, health, and daily life, making it a hub of magical advancement and influence.
- Magical Dependency: The city's reliance on magic for daily functions and defenses could make it vulnerable if its magical sources are disrupted or if there is a failure in its arcane infrastructure. Such dependency might lead to severe consequences if magic is suddenly unavailable or compromised.
- Internal Power Struggles: In a society led by demons with complex hierarchies and ambitions, internal power struggles and rivalries could be prevalent. These conflicts might lead to political instability, sabotage, and a lack of unified leadership, potentially weakening the city’s cohesion and its ability to effectively address external threats.
