Unit Name: Zenithian Line Infantry

Consolidation Thread: N/A
Unit Description: The Zenithian Line Infantry are the disciplined core of the Crown’s military and naval forces, forming the bulk of both land battalions and marine detachments aboard Zenithian warships. Clad in reinforced woolen uniforms with leather plating, brass-button tunics, and signature bronze helm-masks with filter valves, they present a unified front of industrial order. Their rifles gleam with polished brass fittings, while their sea boots and rigging belts reflect their dual roles in field and fleet.

ATTRIBUTES
  • Armour: Average
    • Gear: Thick naval wool and leather-reinforced coats; bronze helm-mask with basic filtration; riveted vambraces; sea boots; gear belt with grappling hook, powder satchels, and small boiler-fed pressure regulator for tools.
  • Speed: Low
  • Melee: Average
    • Weaponry: Naval boarding cutlasses, trench axes, and socket bayonets affixed to muskets.
  • Ranged: Average
    • Weaponry: Flintlock muskets with rifled barrels for improved accuracy; small boiler-forged “spark bayonets” (used to briefly electrify bayonet for charges); hand-tossed pressure grenades (limited).
  • Morale: Average
  • Size: High (26-50 members)
  • Number: Provincial
    • Recruitment & Replenishment: Recruited from all major Zenithian provinces, shipyards, and floating arcologies. Training occurs in mainland barracks and fleet academies. Reinforcements are constantly rotated between naval service and field duty to maintain readiness.
  • TvM Requirement: 2v1
Strengths
  • Versatile Doctrine: Capable of fighting on land or sea with equal effectiveness, offering seamless strategic adaptability.
  • Tactically Disciplined: Formations are drilled to perfection, allowing coordinated volleys, bayonet charges, and naval boarding actions under pressure.
Weaknesses
  • Outclassed by Specialists: While dependable, they struggle against elite skirmishers, heavy cavalry, or mechanized units.
  • Outdated Ballistics: Flintlocks, while reliable, suffer from slow reload times and are ineffective in prolonged ranged engagements against modern or magical foes.
Historical Information

The Zenithian Line Infantry trace their roots to the Grand Armada reforms, when Queen Nepheli standardized military service across both land and naval divisions. They were pivotal during the Siege of Brazenhold and in repelling sky-pirate incursions during the Battle of Cloudspire. Despite their unassuming equipment, their cohesion, bravery, and sheer numbers make them the steel heart of the Zenithian war machine.

@Nepheli N. Tzunidahr, hello again, cool unit you got there. Let's get straight to it, there are a few areas of improvement.

You listed under weaknesses that the Flintlocks are ineffective against modern foes, now considering flintlocks are one of the most modern weapons made right now, I feel like you should rewrite this weakness or find another suitable one. Maybe something others could use against this unit to make them more interesting in a sense of PvP :)

The required tech level should be 5vX, as flintlock firearms fall under Tech Level 5.

Please provide a list of provinces where these units can be recruited.

The average ranged stat does not accurately reflect the weapons and equipment you have described. Consider revising stats or descriptions to better represent their high accuracy, as well as their use of electrical bayonets and grenades.
