**Profile Name:** Hafis'een'kthessev

**Alias/Nickname:** Groto. Groto Dene. Seen.

**Species:** Chiss

**Gender:** Male

**Age:** 25

**Homeworld:** Within the Chiss Ascendancy

**Affiliation:** The Force, the Chiss Ascendancy, and fine, if demanded, the Republic in that order.

Enemies: His partner, and then in no particular order, The Hutts, The Mandalorians, and the IGBC.

Strengths:

  • Subterfuge
  • Stealth
  • Diplomacy
  • Ambushes, backstabs, and other various tools to, when violence is called for, overapplying it to ensure the least of it (see:
    )
Weaknesses:

  • Direct physical action via the Force
  • Hunted by three major and one minor power
  • Affiliated to a school that was (maybe?!?!) obliterated
  • Unwillingness to engage in direct confrontation, relying more on ethical dubious ambushes and backstabs (same video)
**Rank/Position:** A Grey Jedi Knight in power, but really more cheat, card-shark, rapscallion, and con man. He really wouldn’t do well as a Jedi. He is *not a Jedi* and *does not have Jedi training.*

**Appearance:** His bright red eyes, blue skin, and black hair combed back make Seen relatively easy to spot. His default wear is unremarkable, but he a walk-in closet in his ship, The Sweet Wing, makes it easy to garb himself as needed for a given task. He rarely appears armed and in fact, is rarely armed. Violence leads to more violence.

**Personality:** Driven from their homeland, alien in a land of aliens, Seen has a default personality of a charmer and a chameleon – a great friend for a fine drink at an expensive bar to watch the suns set with, but also one who knows a speeder bar that stays open late and serves later. Beneath that is the Force sensitivity that drove him from his home; he follows the slightest twinge of guidance from the Force as a strong recommendation, to say the least.

**Background/History:** Seen was never a superb Chiss, but for some time he was a superb pretender to his culture’s values. He showed Force powers and concealed it successful in his low-society household. He concealed it for the Chiss culture’s own survival – he didn't respect the rules personally, but they serve their purpose. But that's for Chiss -- when he started a life with a partner and shared the truth with them as a person, not just another Chiss. They fled and reported him. His deepest shame but also a roiling pit within him was his escape -- empowered with fear and desperation, he drew on the Dark Side to escape, a first for him. The look when the deck officer was simply crushed underneath another thrown body haunts him to this day, to the point where he has simply cut off part of his connection to the Force in telekinesis particularly.

He took a ship that no one was too attached to after his horrific rampage and made his way Core wise. He’s followed the Force through many tasks and rewards, blending in and doing what he can with gentle touches and bringing a sword that he came to through completely legitimate means when he must.

His partner has, according to rumors, come to this land of strangers as well. Their family’s honor hinges on taking Seen back to face justice in the Chiss Ascendancy.

In the fallen Galaxy outside the Chiss Ascendancy, Seen attended Shop #134. Union shop, Union labor. Within and under the cover of working on any type of engine that came into the place, the mentors of that reserved academy taught the truth of working with unsolvable problems, intractable thoughts, and fluidity of response.

The Shop fell, unfortunately, when Seen's history came to call upon him. Hungry to restore their family's rights, their partner is Seen's most dedicated hunter. Her and her cadre drove him from The Shop before his training was complete, and his block was barely examined. Dying, one of the senior Acolytes whom Seen was close to passed a mysterious silvered datachip to Seen, telling them to flee as fast and as far as they could with it. That moment – his partner’s hunter cadre, the chip, and the end of his formal Force training – convinced Seen his path was best one usually walked alone. Too many people and too many plans shattered for him to be near anything that might break.

Thanks to the chip, he found himself hunted. *Hunted* -- the Mandalorians, Hutts, and IGBC all want that chip. They want! That! Chip! While he has deadlocked all of them through careful manipulation where if any one of them gets the chip, the other two must go to war with them to get it – it is now important to all three powers that Seen lives, and that Seen *doesn’t remove the now-implanted chip and offer it to anyone, let alone of the three.* They still press him occasionally with clever plans to seize the treasure.

In his travels he did find himself on N’orlania, and the Mandalorians are also upset about Kuna Bravanc, Coo if you're friendly, a half-functional, half-rusted apart, half-torn apart once upon a time Basilisk that he found damaged there. Once they realized why the off-worlder was searching bins and taking trash parts, he was driven off before he could finish his work. Someday temperament and technology will rise, but for now the frame of Coo sits idle deep in the ship.

He still carries a wooden, single edged sword he was gifted by a grateful, if defeated, bond mate he tried to aid in his travels.

**Skills/Abilities:** Primarily, Seen is a con man and a social grifter. He’s not as wildly intelligent as the Chiss so often depicted as, but his emotional intelligence and connection to the Force make him capable of inserting himself into and tearing apart or reinforcing nearly any organization. He relies on talking, blasters, and the Force to solve problems – in that order.

Within the realm of combat, he relies less on the Force to accelerate his body and more to break down his opponents with mental pressure. Typically, he will cloak himself once he has weakened an opponent enough and leave, giving him time to create a situation more to his favor. When forced to draw blood, his strange blade has been said to shatter not just armor, but the person within. There is only rare evidence of his actual combats, however. And is a rumor. Not an actual item that other players need to freak out about. It’s a story hook.

As a Force user, his ties to the Force are deeply rooted in his connection to other living things – and manipulating them. His ability to sense, manipulate, and even create thoughts, feelings, and perceptions is arguably Master level, and he dedicates extreme resources to avoiding bloodshed if wise. When bloodshed is called for he aims for a quick, clean strike, leading to a reputation for perhaps overdoing it. Rumors that he uses the Dark Side are true – but one he keeps close watch on. He believes his limited use of the Dark Side was the guidance of the Force, but the future will tell if he is correct – or another arrogant Fallen Force User.

But he is a Knight, not a Master, hopefully that is now 100% clear for other players, and there are reasons for that. In particular his control of objects, the unliving, is extremely limited; the basest Apprentice could more easily lift a pile of rocks or levitate a foe.

Force capacity: Strong

**Equipment/Gear:**
  • An exotic sword, taken from a foe-turned-friend as a bonding gift long ago (GM: leaving this open in case you’d like to fill in details). It is a simple wooden bokken, there is no story or adventure hook here.
  • So many costumes, so much makeup, so many contacts – disguise check fodder.
  • A variety of infiltration tools with which one could get into someplace designed to keep people out. Perhaps even a box, believed to be safe.
  • Trinkets from a dozen or two worlds he’s picked up, markers of moments that would reveal much about him to an investigator
**Ship/Vehicle:** The Sweet Wing is a Lethisk-class armed freighter he defrauded a fraud out of. Two nameless droids – try, they won’t share – help him to keep The Wing in space (he calls the droids Grips and Tears, and they don’t seem to mind. At least, they have yet to grip and then tear him). The rumor that one of the semi-sentient Mandalorian Basilisk War Droids lives in the depths of the ships storage in exchange for occasional glory is *surely* just that – a rumor.

The Crew:
Steroided out pilot, hot shot mechanic, a truly ancient Chiss-style droid that does little but clean one spot over and over and watch over the other droids when they retire

**Goals/Objectives:** Seen floats, endlessly, a wave splashing at a thousand shores. There are greater injustices than his to help, and more to learn and be humbled by even in his own. Seen does not seek, in so many words.
Oh, also, three major powers are constantly trying to find ways to do Bad Things to him, and his partner is hunting him with intent to drag him home, alive, but those are just things that occur. No worrying, just being.
