Photrus - These are demonic entities that derive their very nature from the concept of fire itself. Their pigmentation ranges from a deep burgundy to a normal Human complexion. Hair and eye color tends to vary wildly. All members of the species possess a talent with the fire element. Their body runs at a temperature that comparable to fire, preventing them from forming meaningful physical relationships with others. It is rumored that they are corrupted descendants of the Fire Elementals.

Kherrisin - Creatures of lust and love. They possess unearthly beauty, unparalleled by most of the other races. They possess a similar variety to Humanity. There is no set appearance for a member of this race beyond the unnatural physical looks. Pinnacles of the Kherrisin release a potent pheromone into the surrounding air, drawing the attention of everyone. The vast majority are vain and self centered.

Bronelid - Wildly believed to be the weakest of the races, Bronelid are instead known for being intellectual. They have amassed a sizable archive that cover a wide range of topics. While not the greatest warriors on the battlefield, they excel at hit and run tactics. Dropping from the sky to pick off individual combatants. Physically, they can be mistaken for Human if not for their variety of wings and mono-colored eyes.

Brenin - Splintering off from the Bronelid in the Age of the Gods, the Brenin are easily identified by their four arms. They are frequently taller and more muscular than Humans and Bronelid. Other than two extra appendages and mono-colored, they have no other unique traits. Brenin make up the majority of the Demon King’s army; serving as canon fodder.

Nedemoth - It is said that the Nedemoth are descended from the Gigantes. Massive specimens that tower over the rank and file of Demon kind. They are slow and lumbering behemoths. However, they are not foolish. Nedemoth are excellent for sieges and invading enemy territory. They resemble Humanity but with wider and distorted features. Hulking masses of muscle, they have thick skin that is naturally resistant to Magic. Unfortunately, they have a slow reproductive cycle. Nedemoth are lucky to have at least one child every other century. Due to this, the Nedemoth do not possess enough members to field a legitimate army.

Bharon - By far the strongest of the races, the Bharon are known for being reptilian in appearance. They have scales that are thick and hardy; resistant to Magic. With strength comparable to the Nedemoth, the Bharon have a reputation for being prideful to narcissist extremes. A good portion of their people have a natural affinity for lightning derived spells. Rumor suggests that they are descended from the previous Demon King. In truth, the Photrus are the legitimate descendants of Belial himself.

Description: The Photrus are a race of demonic beings whose very existence is intertwined with fire. They are the direct descendants of King Belial, a tyrannical ruler of the Abyss known for his dominion over flame and unrelenting ambition. Their pigmentation ranges from deep burgundy to human-like skin tones, often accompanied by hair and eyes that glow with an inner fire. Every member of the race wields a natural affinity for fire magic, channeling flames with unmatched precision and ferocity. Their bodies burn with searing heat, making physical interaction with non-Photrus a dangerous endeavor.

Though some claim they share a link with the Fire Elementals, this is dismissed as mere hearsay, a story spun by those trying to rationalize their fiery nature. Far from exiles, the Photrus are one of the six principal races of the Abyss, serving under King Damian as warriors, artisans, and scholars of flame.

Their culture emphasizes strength, loyalty, and the refinement of their innate abilities. They are known for forging weapons and artifacts imbued with flames, which are highly prized across the Abyss. The Photrus view fire as a symbol of both power and transformation, embodying their belief that destruction paves the way for creation.

STRENGTHS

1. Mastery of Fire: Every Photrus possesses an unparalleled command over fire, using it in combat, crafting, and ritualistic practices.
2. Fire Resistance: Their physiology renders them impervious to fire and heat, enabling them to thrive in extreme environments.

WEAKNESSES

1. Elemental Weakness: While unmatched with fire, the Photrus are exceptionally vulnerable to water and cold-based attacks, which can weaken or even kill them.
2. Dangerous Physiology: Their extreme body heat prevents them from forming close physical bonds with other races, leading to isolation and emotional detachment.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Photrus originated directly from King Belial, whose essence infused them with fire and an indomitable will. After his defeat at the hands of King Damian, the Photrus were not cast out but rather integrated into Damian’s Abyssal court. Recognizing their unique talents and unwavering loyalty, Damian elevated them to one of the six principal races under his command.

The Photrus have since become integral to the Abyss, serving as elite warriors, crafters, and envoys. Their history is marked by their devotion to King Damian, whom they regard as a savior who granted them purpose after Belial’s fall. Though whispers of their supposed ties to Fire Elementals persist, the Photrus themselves dismiss these as fanciful tales, proud of their heritage as Belial’s descendants and Damian’s trusted allies.

Though their sheer strength and durability make them formidable on the battlefield, their slow movements and limited numbers due to a slow reproductive cycle prevent them from forming a substantial army. The Nedemoth are often used as siege specialists or strategic shock troops in the Demon King’s campaigns.
