+ Poisonous. Due to their diseased state, any Spiral Guardsman is a beckon of foul air that can transmit deadly sickness. When killed, it is rather often for the rotting Spiral Guardsmen to explode, tainting their immediate proximity with highly infectious oozes.

Historical Information
House Amslerbeak was a noble house of the old nobility of Wesalla. Many of their kin were also participating in an underground group of chemists and scientists who performed several experiments in the folk of Wesalla long before the Iron Cult claimed the province. When the war came, the Amslerbeak were far too corrupted by the Iron Cult's agents, offering their foul science in exchange for a seat of power in the "New World" promised by the Cult. The Amslerbeak unleashed many evils in the form of plagues, during the Iron Cult Rebellion in Wesalla, with their undeniable part in the eventual victory securing them a place among the leading council of the province.
Decades later, the Amslerbeak continue to rule over Wesalla, with their laboratories and foul experimentation reaching new heights. When they capture criminals in their domains, these dark scientists have a tradition in preserving them in huge prison towers, where they perform numerous scientific experimentations on them, testing diseases and artificial mutation elixirs.
By the time their specimens no longer offer any capacity for further experimentation, the Amslerbeak send the plagued, decaying and lost souls to the Spiral Guard, where they are being infused with numerous unstable substances, before being wrapped with abundant bandages to hide their hideousness, and put inside suits of armour. They are then given a holy symbol to distinguish their units, and are sent out to serve in a final march of penance, as slave-soldiers, for the Iron Cult's war machine.
Incapable of feeling any pain, as for the most part, their bodies have decayed to an unrecognizable degree, the Spiral Guard are driven by nothing but the effects of the injected toxins and chemical substances their Amslerbeak masters provide. Such units are renown for their "horrific slow marches" across the battlefields, never yielding to painful wounds or even enemy resistance. Their thick armours protecting their dying bodies from projectiles and melee attacks, while their layers upon layers of bandages almost perfectly hide the armour beneath, causing the terrifying effect of "undying warriors" during battle.
The Spiral Guard is a force that can provide fire against enemy formations, and guard vital positions, while also be fed into the front lines to block the advance of an enemy unit, with their unnatural endurance and noxious aura soaking any aggression the enemy might have had in store.
