+ Sharpshooters. The Grimcoats have intense trainning to ensure their capabilities and accuracy in ranged warfare.
+ Night Haunters. Creatures of the dark as they may be, the Grimcoats tend to favour night battles contrary to daylight battlefields.
Weaknesses
- Dark Meritocracy. The Grimcoats tend to be zealous fighters, though their loyalties are usually pledged to those they view as their betters. Should a commander loses grip of his forces, more and more Grimcoats will likely desert, or even mutiny against their former commander.
- Magic Haters. The Grimcoats are more often than not troops who instinctively hate any sight of magic, becoming aggressive against those they view as mages, or magic sites.
Historical Information
The world of Terra Firma is an unforgiving land, with many races losing their path for one reason or another. Though deprived of their arcane nature, the dark creatures, such as Dark Elves, Drow and others, remain rogue and unrelenting in their ways.
Given their arsenal of blackpowder, the Grimcoats employ guerilla tactics and night raids to negade the enemy's advantage on armour, mobility or even numbers.
