  Unit Description: The Nobles Chivaliers are units of noble spawns who seek to prove themselves in the field of battle. Clad in tailored chainmail and breastplate armours, the Nobles Chivaliers wear their household colours as they ride to battle, serving as the very elite cavalry units in the Pottaun Hosts. Usually, the chivaliers gather in units of 30 riders, serving as shock and heavy cavalry, usually deployed against infantry units.

  Strengths
  • Iron Charge. When the Nobles Chivaliers launch a charge against an enemy unit, their warhorses cause tremendous impact.
  • Trained Killers. Having been in training for the better part of their lives, these nobles are the very elite of the Merelais armies, capable to even continue their killing spree even if dismounted, during engagement.
  
  Weaknesses
  • Heavy Troops. The Nobles Chivaliers are rather heavy units, which causes their horses to slip and struggle when operating in muddy, bogland, or swamp terrain.
  • May Charge Without Orders. Proud as they may be, these nobles may not accept being left in the reserve, deprived of their righteous battle glory, resulting to unannounced charges.

  Long tradition, the Kingdom of Pottaun has in the art of war. For generations, the descendants of the many noble families of Pottaun are trained in fencing, jousting and fighting on horseback.
  
  Although for the wider world, the Jousting Tournaments are seen as rather "sterilized" form of demonstrating one's fighting prowess, what happens when the realm's nobility takes up arms may come to many, a shock.
  
  The Nobles Chivaliers, consisting of the nobility's greatest warriors, serve as the most elite cavalry units of the Merelaisian armies. Each of the nobles oath-bound to their liege, wearing proudly the colourful sigils of their household as they ride to bring their bloodline glory and wealth. For a young noble to enact deeds of bravery in the battlefield means to compete with the other nobles on fighting skill, wealth, equipment and finesse. It is very hard, for such nobles to accept a retreat, as it is a stain they cannot easily rid themselves of, after the battle's end.
  
  The Pottaun Nobles Chivaliers serve in the battlefields as the cavalry's shock troops, with their devastating charges becoming stuff of legends.
