The Hegemony of Esh
An ever-expanding empire of Eshkin under the rulership of a council of thirteen ratmen, chosen for their dominance, intellect and power over others. twelve members sit upon this Council of Thirteen, with the thirteenth seat being left empty as a symbolic representation of their rat god Esh. For many millennia, this council had been torn apart through treachery and greed but, a shrouded figure who was supposedly backed by the God Esh united this council and all the Eshkin clans setting them on a course of resurrection and retribution.
This filthy hegemony of vermin consists of a diverse set of clans each more foul than the other. The clans are spread upon the Eshkin's territory and each is led by a distinct leader and his cruel warlords. Of these many clans, none are as powerful both militarily, politically and influentially as the great four clans. Their dominion over the political and social landscape of the Hegemony of Esh is so great that the heads of each clan are granted a seat on the Council of Thirteen.
